Take 2: Day 9!

Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans: Take 2! I really regret to inform you that Simba and I got into another fight last night.  I know, I know it’s really sad, and I am really not happy about it.  Ok, I will tell you what happened.

Simba has been doing really well lately with going to sleep, so last night I once again decided to replicate our bedtime routine from the previous nights. I took Simba for a walk (run), gave him a calming chew and even made sure that Simba had 2 chews to keep him occupied during the night.

So far so good, right? WRONG!  Simba found a squeaky toy and brought it into bed. Simba kept squeaking the toy and I told him politely to please be quiet because I was trying to sleep.  At 1 am, Simba decided to wake me up and show me that he chewed through the wire on my phone charger and my phone was no longer charging.  This was pretty upsetting because this was an old behavior and I do not know why it has come back. He must miss his daddy a lot.

I tried hiding the the wire and going back to sleep, however Simba saw where I was hiding the wire and kept trying to get it.  At one point, Simba even stepped on my face to try and get to the wire that was behind my head. I was not every happy about this to say the least. I got out of bed and put the charger on the kitchen table. Then I saw Simba looked like he was about to bite my jacket that was hanging on a chair.  I also moved my jacket for safe keeping since I only brought one with me and it’s really cold outside.

I asked Simba very nicely to please go to sleep but he had other plans.  Simba once again found the squeaky toy and would not stop squeaking it. I tried moving it and putting it in the other room but nothing I seemed to do worked.  I begged and pleaded for Simba to stop squeaking his toy in my face but he did not want to listen.  I told Simba I was very upset and I would really like for him to stop. I think he stopped squeaking the toy around 3:30 am and I was finally able to go to sleep. This morning, Simba looked remorseful and could tell that I was not happy about his behavior the night before. I told him that it really wasn’t nice and he can’t destroy things. I gave him breakfast and got ready for the day.  When it was time for our walk, Simba decided once again to play the game where he runs around the apartment and will not let me put his harness on.  Once again, I am not fond of this game, especially when I am running late and did not get enough sleep.

We went for a walk outside and Simba enjoyed the fresh air.  I think he was able to tell I was tired and thankfully he did not try to make me go running. Thank you Simba, I really appreciated that! Then I left Simba and went to work.

I was very busy at work when Jason interrupted me to inform me that Simba just did the cutest thing.  I knew Jason was watching the cameras so I asked what Simba did and Jason replied, “he moved.”  Here I am thinking why in the world is Jason interrupting me at work to inform me that Simba moved?  Apparently he meant to tell me that Simba was being cuddly on the couch. I have to admit, he is adorable.

Jason has now turned Simba into a gif.  Please be prepared to receive a lot of spam from Jason with this gif.

When I returned from work and running errands, I decided I did not want to be in a fight with Simba anymore. I did not want to go into Shabbos fighting with him, so I decided to just forgive him.  Also, look at that face, how long can you expect me to stay mad at him for?  Simba gave me a happy greeting and I told him how much I love him.  I spent some time petting him, while also trying to finish this blog before Shabbos. I also did a quick photo shoot with Simba and his cookie because I couldn’t wait to give it to him on Shabbos and not have pictures. Spoiler alert: Simba LOVED the cookie.  He started crying after he finished the small piece I gave him because he wanted more.  With permission from daddy, I gave Simba another small piece.
