Welcome back to another episode of Simba Sitting Shenanigans: Take 2 Shabbos edition!

Last night, Simba and I relaxed before Shabbos. Then I took him on a walk before I went to dinner at his friend Einstein’s apartment. I tried to get to Simba walk down the stairs to hopefully use up some of his energy. Simba is still afraid to walk up the stairs, however I think going down is much scarier!

I brought Einstein his cookie from the bakery and his parents loved it. They had me give Einstein a piece of the cookie before we started our meal and he absolutely loved it! Einstein loves crunchy food and the cookie was very crunchy so it was perfect.

After the meal, Einstein came over to Simba’s apartment to play. We were going to go for a walk together but it was raining outside. We decided an indoor playdate was a much better idea.  Simba was so excited to have a friend come over and play with him. I was also glad that Simba had an opportunity to release some energy without being outside in the cold.  

After Einstein and his dad left, Simba and I continued to play a little bit and then relaxed on the couch. We went for a super short walk outside because he got a lot of his energy out with Einstein (and it was raining and cold).  Simba thought it would be a great idea to jump in a muddy puddle.  I, however, am not Peppa Pig, so I am not such a fan of jumping in muddy puddles.  When we came back inside I tried to wipe his fur down as best as I could with some of his dog wipes. I am pretty sure they are just unscented baby wipes that are marketed for dogs so Jason probably just pays more for them. But to each their own…

I gave Simba a calming chew and took a few chews into the bedroom to keep Simba occupied during the night.  Simba slept fairly well, although he did wake me up a couple of times to go into the living room to get something. After the second time, he seemed satisfied with his toys and slept the rest of the night in the bed.

This morning we woke up and cuddled a little bit before getting up. Simba and I took a nice walk and enjoyed the fact that it wasn’t so cold and raining.  Apparently, there was a storm last night that knocked over all the garbage cans on the boardwalk. I had no idea the wind was so bad because there are so many noise machines in the apartment I couldn’t hear anything! 

After our walk, I brought Simba back to the apartment to relax while I went to shul. After shul, I took Simba on another short walk before going to lunch.  Simba came back to the apartment while I went down the hall for lunch. Then I brought Simba to visit with the neighbors.  Simba was so well behaved and calm. He really enjoyed all the attention he was getting.

While we were visiting, Simba saw Seeyon and got very excited.  We went back to the apartment and Shifra also came over. Simba was so excited to have 2 friends come over!  He even tried playing the game with us!  Simba and I were on the same team, but then it was getting difficult to play with him on my lap, so I got him a bully stick and he was just as happy playing with that.  

Simba also enjoyed chewing on the table and playing with Seeyon’s water bottle and cup.  After Shabbos, Shifra came for a walk with us and Simba was very happy.  He wanted to walk all the way home with her but crossing Seagirt Blvd. with Simba kinda scares me. Simba made a new friend named Bubbles on our walk and even got some yummy turkey treats for being a good boy.

Simba has spent the past hour alternating between barking at the washing machine, barking at the tv and trying to dig on the couch. Simba must be very excited because his daddy is coming home tomorrow!
