Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans! I am very sorry to say, but this will be my last post for a while. Jason has returned home and I have been relieved of my Simba sitting responsibilities. Although I am excited to once again be sleeping in my own bed, not to be woken up in the middle of the night by barking and not having to go for walks in the cold weather, I already miss Simba so much!
Last night, Simba was barking a lot so I decided to take him for a walk. It was starting to get cold and it was late so I decided to make it a short walk. After our walk, we relaxed on the couch and watched some TV together before bed. Then we played tug-of-war with Simba’s Haunted Mansion toy from the last time Jason went to Disney. Simba had so much fun!
I gave Simba a calming chew and we got ready for bed. I made sure to take some chews into the bedroom to keep Simba occupied during the night. We were all settled in bed and all of a sudden Simba jumped off the bed. I turned the light on and noticed my empty backpack fell off the shelf it was on. I checked Simba and saw he was ok and was not hit by the backpack. I then placed it back on the shelf.
After that, Simba got back into bed and fell asleep. Simba slept through the night and was still sleeping this morning when my alarm went off. It actually got me nervous because he didn’t get up. I checked Simba to make sure he was still breathing and when I pet him he woke up. I guess I tired him out a lot yesterday and he just needed some more time to sleep.
I then realized that I set my alarm too early and did not need to get up yet. Simba and I took advantage of this extra time to get in some last minute cuddles. I do not know if Simba realized I was leaving today but he made sure to take full advantage of the cuddles.
I gave Simba breakfast and then Seeyon came to take Simba on a walk while I packed up my stuff. I don’t know if you know this but it is very difficult to pack with a puppy who keeps trying to steal your clothes. Simba enjoyed a nice long walk with Seeyon and looked very happy when he came back.
Shortly after Simba returned, I said goodbye to Simba and he looked very sad to see me leaving with my suitcases. I told Simba that his daddy was coming home today and not to worry because I would be back again on Tuesday for Purim!
Jason returned home from Disney and Simba was so excited to see him. He was so excited that he peed on the floor! At least he didn’t pee on Jason. Both Jason and Simba were so excited to be reunited. Simba was happy to finally have someone who will allow him to lick their face. Jason returned home to a new pillow and duvet cover thanks to Simba’s destructive nights and Amazon’s quick delivery, as well as my own Disney countdown (12 more days!) Jason was kind enough to let me know he was available to stay with Simba while I go to Disney in a couple of weeks. Maybe he will even update you with his own blog!
This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you soon. Tune in next time Jason goes on vacation for more Simba Sitting Shenanigans!
