Welcome back! I am so happy to see you again! This week we are going to talk about one of my favorite parshas! Oh wait, sorry I got confused and thought I was making one of my parsha videos. Full disclosure- I actually really miss those videos. Maybe I will start a parsha blog.
Ok, back to the subject at hand. Jason is away again and I am starting another 10 day journey of Simba Sitting Shenanigans! I know there were a lot of people who were anxiously awaiting this blog, so I hope it does not disappoint.
Today started off just like any other day, I came over after work, but this time with some suitcases (yes, I know I overpack). Simba, as usual, was ecstatic to see me. We spent some time relaxing on the couch, where simba got his smelly cheese chew all over my skirt.
Simba enjoyed me petting him, I also enjoyed his extremely soft and fluffy fur since he just got groomed yesterday. Apparently his fur was very matted and Sarah (the groomer) had to work very hard on him. She really did an amazing job, Simba looks absolutely adorable. Note to self- giving Simba a bath on a Thursday night at 11:30 pm, after a long week of socializing and seeing Wicked was probably not the best idea. Jason and I were both very tired and apparently did a terrible job drying and brushing his fur. Sorry Sarah- we won’t make that mistake EVER again!
I had to make a phone call that required being on hold for a long time (thanks Disney). Simba was so well behaved while I was on hold. As soon as the cast member answered the phone, Simba decided it was a great time to start barking. Thankfully, he quieted down and I was able to complete my phone call.
I prepared Simba a delicious dinner exactly as described in the care guide. Sorry Jason, I know you worked very hard on updating it, but I don’t really need to refer to it that much anymore. For those of you who have not heard, Simba has developed a chicken intolerance, so his dinner is now lamb-based instead of chicken-based.
While Simba was eating his dinner, I decided to prepare mine. Simba only ate about half his dinner because he was too busy barking at his imaginary friends on the other side of the door. I am very impressed that Simba actually let me enjoy my dinner without jumping up on the table and trying to steal it. Either he has really improved, or he just had absolutely no interest in my vegan chicken and mixed vegetables.
After I finished my dinner, Simba and I went for a walk and a quick run on the boardwalk. Simba decided to pretend to be tough and was barking at the UPS guy. I think he scared him… oops! We did not last very long outside because it was FREEZING!!! We came back inside and I left Simba to take a nap so I could run some errands.
When I returned, Simba was once again very happy to see me. He spent some time with me on the couch, and kept going back and forth to slowly finish his dinner. I have to say I am very proud of Simba because he actually ate all of his dinner out of the bowl and didn’t dump any of it on the carpet. Let’s keep up this trend!
Ok, I better go because Simba is currently whining and barking at his toy that he dropped behind the couch. I will see you tomorrow for more Simba Sitting Shenanigans – Take 2!
