Take 4: Day 6!

Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans! Last night, when we returned from our walk, I brought Simba’s new dog bath up to the apartment. Yes, Jason bought a dog bath because he is worried about taking Simba to the groomer with the new dog illness going around. Apparently a regular bath tub isn’t good enough. For some reason, Simba did not want me taking the package. (He must have known what was in the box! Smart guy…) Eventually, I was able to convince Simba to walk over to the packages and let me take it upstairs.

When we got back to the apartment, Simba was very hyper. This happens sometimes after a walk. Jason texted me to let me know that Simba’s Jiobit needed to be charged. For those of you who are new around here, this is Simba’s tracker. I get the joy of notifications whenever Simba leaves or returns to the apartment. I even get these notifications when Jason isn’t on vacation. It comes in handy when I want to know if Jason is on his way somewhere or if he is still at home. Jason always walks Simba before he leaves the apartment.

Simba was so hyper that I could not catch him to take his Jiobit off his collar. I told Jason I would charge it in the morning. Simba also did not seem ready for bed. I started to get ready and left the bedroom door open. Eventually, Simba came inside and took his place on the bed.

This morning when we woke up, Simba wanted to stay in bed and cuddle. Unfortunately, some stupid person scheduled an 8 am staff meeting at work today. Ok, fine I was that stupid person who scheduled the meeting. But then this morning when it was time to wake up, I decided it wasn’t a smart decision. I was able to get Simba to wake up and we got ready for our day.

We did our typical morning routine, Simba ate his breakfast and relaxed with his videos while I showered. We went for a walk on the boardwalk and Simba started barking at a man wearing a mask and gloves. I think he got nervous because he could not see the man’s face. Then we saw someone from work on the boardwalk and Simba also started barking at her. I am not really sure why he was barking so much. I am hoping he was just trying to play with her!

When I was at work, Seeyon stopped by again to drop off some more stuff for Shabbos. I was informed that even though I am very against giving Simba new toys, I apparently gave him one by accident. I bought myself some scrunchies and left one on the table. Simba apparently saw it and decided it was his. Oh well, it’s a good thing I brought a bunch!

After work, I returned to the apartment and started cooking for Shabbos. Simba really wanted to help but I was worried he would get hurt or I would accidentally drop something and he would eat it. I put up the gate so Simba couldn’t come into the kitchen. I think he was a little sad, but he knows I have his best interest at heart.

I sent Jason a picture of Simba relaxing on the couch while I cooked and Jason got worried because Simba was relaxing and not playing. Jason thought I was depriving him but then realized how many toys he has and that he can play with anything he wants. I informed him that Simba is perfectly fine and was playing just moments before. This helped ease his mind, I hope!

Tune in tomorrow for more Simba Sitting Shenanigans: Shabbos Edition!
