Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans! Simba and I hope you had a wonderful day! We are sorry that the blogs have been posted so late in the day. It has been a busy week!

I have exciting news for everyone. Jason has made it to Disney! I know you were all so worried since he started his vacation on the west coast of Florida. Have no fear, he has made it to Orlando safe and sound. He already enjoyed a full day of Disney activities!

Last night, Simba and I enjoyed a nice brisk walk before bed. I decided to turn the heat on in the bedroom since we were both so cold the night before. Once again, Simba plopped himself on the bed and started to growl when I tried to move him over.

We were both very tired and fell asleep quickly. Simba likes to sleep on top of me. It is very cute, however, if I want to change positions, it is impossible because I do not want to wake him up. Simba also likes to alternate between sleeping on top of me and sleeping on the floor. In the middle of the night, I woke up to Simba jumping on top of me. I guess he doesn’t worry about waking me!

Around 5:45 am it was very hot in the room so I wanted to shut off the heat. (Jason wasn’t kidding when he said his room gets very hot when the heat is on!) At this point, Simba was sleeping on top of me. I tried moving him but he didn’t move. I tried again and he was still there. I started to get nervous. (Jason, I think your constant checking in on Simba’s well-being is getting to me.) Then I turned on the light and Simba finally moved. I was extremely relieved!

After I shut the heat, we both fell back asleep. When it was time to wake up, Simba did not want to let me out of the bed. He was blocking my exit and I almost thought I would have to stay in bed all day. Unfortunately, he moved and I had to get out of bed and be a responsible adult.

Simba inhaled his breakfast and enjoyed his dog relaxation video while I showered and got ready for work. He has really come a long way from when I first started watching him! He used to bark all the time while I was in the shower.

Simba and I enjoyed a nice walk before work. Thankfully, it was a little warmer than yesterday. As I was getting ready to leave for work, Simba got a surprise visit from Seeyon who was dropping off some stuff. Simba was very excited by his surprise.

Simba enjoyed a nice relaxing day of sleeping on the floor under the table and on the couch. Yes, I know what he is doing throughout the day because the apartment is loaded with cameras. I am strongly encouraged to watch these cameras when I am not there. However, Jason spends all day watching the cameras (only when I am not there) so really he can just tell me if there is something wrong.

Simba enjoyed an early dinner tonight since I was not going to be around for dinner time. He is over the eating slowly phase. He is now back to eating dinner at a normal pace. I am extremely grateful for this. After dinner, we enjoyed a nice sunset walk on the boardwalk. The sky was absolutely beautiful.

When I returned for the night, Simba forgot he already ate his dinner and tried begging for some of my food. I gently reminded him that his daddy would kill me if I gave him my food because it was not on the approved foods list. I turned on a movie to distract Simba. However, I didn’t realize there was a dog in the movie and Simba would not stop barking. Then I tried another movie without animals but he still wouldn’t stop barking. I finally found a movie that Simba seemed to enjoy.
