Take 4: Day 10!

Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans! Last night, Simba thoroughly enjoyed his dinner. Do you remember when Simba would take a very long time to eat because he was getting used to his new bowl? I can safely say that he is used to his bowl and is back to eating at a normal pace.

Simba has been really well behaved while I have been out. When I first started watching Simba last year, he used to wake up and bark. Now, I hardly get notifications from the cameras. Either Simba has really matured or there is something wrong with the camera notifications. Let’s go with Simba being mature, I like being proud of him!

When I returned to the apartment last night, Simba had already eaten his dinner. He, however, was very curious as to what I was eating. I told Simba that he already ate and his daddy would kill me if I shared my food with him. Chicken and garlic are on the list of foods that Simba is not allowed to have. (Simba has a sensitivity to chicken, or so Jason says. Garlic is bad for dogs.) Both of those ingredients were in my dinner. After a few reminders, Simba agreed to let me eat my dinner without interruption. He has also taken a liking to sitting by my feet while I sit at the kitchen table. It’s pretty adorable!

After I finished eating, we cuddled on the couch and finished watching the movie we had started the night before. When the movie ended, we went for our evening walk. I took Simba off his leash so I could check the lobby for packages. I swear Jason gets the most packages out of anyone I know. He literally gets at least one package a day. I was unable to check all the packages because the elevator arrived at the lobby and Simba decided to run in. I had a stern talk with Simba and told him that was extremely dangerous and he was to never do that again.

Then, we headed to bed early because I was very tired. Simba looked at me like I was crazy for wanting to go to sleep, but eventually got the hint and went to bed.

This morning, Simba was a good sport about not getting up so early. Unfortunately, my work phone woke us up at 6:30. Thankfully, we were both able to fall back asleep for another half hour. It was a little cold in the room so I really did not want to get out of bed. Simba did not help the situation because he also wanted to snuggle.

We had our typical morning routine and Simba once again inhaled his breakfast. Seriously, he ate it so fast. I blinked and he was finished. I guess he really enjoys it! We went for our walk and thankfully it was not too cold outside. We were on our way back to the building and we saw the off leash dog again. This time, however, I did not see the dog until he was already by us. I picked Simba up as fast as I could and crossed the street.

Simba was not so happy that I did not let him play with the other dog. When I put him back down on the ground, he started behaving like he was a puppy again. He was biting his leash and running in circles. Thankfully, that did not last long and we were able to go back inside.

Simba enjoyed a nice quiet day of sleeping and listening to dog relaxation music while I was at work. After work, I came to the apartment to prepare Simba’s dinner and take him for a walk.

Seeyon came over tonight to give Simba his dinner since I had choir. Simba always loves when Seeyon comes over. They enjoyed each other’s company and enjoyed a nice walk together.

When I returned after choir rehearsal, Simba was so happy to see me. He is currently sitting by my feet as I write this blog. At one point, he tried biting the socks off my feet but I reminded him that I am not his daddy and I do not let him do that.

Jason – take some notes, Simba listens to the word no. You do not need to have bite marks on your socks.

Tune in tomorrow for more Simba Sitting Shenanigans!
