Take 2: Day 6!

Welcome back to another episode of Simba Sitting Shenanigans – Take 2!  I want to start today’s blog by letting you know that Simba and I are in a fight. Well, I am not sure if Simba realizes we are fighting, but yeah we are in a fight.  So last night Simba and I went for a walk and everything seemed just fine. We got ready for bed and I made sure that Simba brought a toy with him into the bedroom to keep him entertained if he woke up in the middle of the night.

Well… apparently Simba was not too fond of the toy we brought because at promptly 3:30 am, Simba decided to wake me up by whining. I turned on the light to tell Simba to come back into the bed. When I turned on the light, I noticed that Simba took one of the pillows off the bed. Not only did he steal a pillow to play with, but he completely DESTROYED the pillow. There was foam everywhere!!!

Now, I could have gone back to sleep, but I did not want Simba to swallow the foam. So at 3:30 in the morning, I had to get out of bed to clean up his mess. I led him into the living room and closed the door behind me.  I got a garbage bag to start cleaning up the pillow and its pieces off the floor.  Then, I realized the pillow pieces were not just on the floor. They were also all over the bed. I was so annoyed because there was so much to clean up and I just wanted to go back to sleep.

When everything was cleaned up, I let Simba come back into the room. I left the bedroom door open so Simba could roam around with his actual toys if he got bored, instead of destroying anything else in the bedroom.  Simba came back into the bed and was trying to lick and cuddle me. I told him I was very upset at what he did and I did not want to be licked.

This morning when it was actually time to wake up, Simba once again tried to lick me and was putting his paw on my arm.  I think this might have been his way of saying sorry. I gave Simba his breakfast while I quickly prepared my lunch for work. We then went for a quick walk as the weather was cold, and wet, and because somebody (we won’t mention any names) decided to destroy a pillow in the middle of the night and wake me up so I overslept a little.

After work, I came back to the apartment where Simba happily greeted me. I pet him and told him how much I love him. Then I realized I totally forgot we were in a fight and I shouldn’t be saying these things to him.  I took Simba out for a walk and he saw his friend Lucy outside.  Simba and Lucy were so happy to see each other and play together.  Then, Lucy had to go with her dad and brother, so Simba and I continued on our walk.

When we returned to the apartment, I prepared Simba’s dinner and took a snack for myself. Simba saw me eating a piece of string cheese and looked like he wanted some. I decided to share my cheese with him.  After I gave him some of my cheese, I remembered once again, we are in a fight.  As you can tell, I am really bad at this whole being in a fight thing. Hopefully our fight will be over by tomorrow because I am really bad at this.  I left Simba alone while I went out for a little while.  Now Simba is slowly finishing the rest of his dinner that he didn’t eat before I left and once again, he js adding more toys to his mess on the floor.

And yes, even though we are in a fight, he is still super cute and I love him so much!
