Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans! Last night, Simba and I watched a couple episodes of Big Brother, and then hung out on the balcony. It was a beautiful night. Well, I hung out on the balcony. Simba watched me from inside. Ever since they started doing fireworks in Far Rockaway, Simba gets wary about being outside at night. Poor guy…
We went for our evening walk, and Simba decided he wanted to go out the back door. He did his business right away and tried going right back inside. I was able to get Simba to walk around to the front of the building, but he wanted to go back inside.
I was exhausted and wanted to get right to bed. I had my Harry Potter book on the bed and was very curious about it. I think Simba wants to learn how to read. I know I’m way behind in the times, but I saw the movies first and had a really hard time getting into the books.

Ok, back to Simba. Simba brought his “Mr. Squirrel” (as his daddy calls it) to bed, and settled himself down right in my spot. Of course, Simba did not want me to move him so I had to figure out how to get into bed. Simba did great all night and slept like a log.
This morning, I accidentally set my alarm for too early so Simba decided we should get up. I opened the door to the living room, put the tv on and told Simba I was going back to bed. Simba decided that he wanted to join me. When it was actually time to get out of bed, Simba wanted to cuddle. Who am I to deny him of this request.
I gave Simba his breakfast and he then patiently waited for me to take a shower. We went for our morning walk and Simba took his time and made me late for work. (If my boss asks, I was totally on time. Yes they’re subscribed to this blog!) We returned to the apartment and Simba got ready for his day of napping.
After work, Simba greeted me with his usual warm welcome. Simba decided to bring a giant toy on our walk. We saw a little baby who was so happy to play with Simba. Simba wanted to teach her how to dig and bury his toy. I thanked Simba for getting full of sand and for bringing sand back to the apartment.
I went to the Mets game tonight, so Simba got a very special treat! Uncle Daniel came over to give Simba dinner and take him for a walk. When he was on a walk with Daniel, Simba let out another nasty bark and tried to chase down an old lady! Simba needs to learn some manners! That’s not nice!

Simba once again enjoyed his delicious dinner. Now he is cuddling with Daniel and enjoying some nice belly rubs!

Tune in tomorrow for more Simba Sitting Shenanigans!
