Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans. We are so happy to see you again.
Last night, Simba finally finished his dinner and we enjoyed some cuddles on the couch. I took him for a walk and when we returned he decided it was time for bed. I had some work to do before I could go to bed so I told Simba he could go to bed and I would meet him when I was done. Simba went in and out of the bedroom three times trying to get me to go with him. Eventually, he fell asleep by my feet until I was finally ready to go to bed. I know, it was very mean of me to do work and make Simba sleep on the floor!

When I finally got into bed, Simba was so happy. He grabbed his toy duck and jumped onto the bed. I was on the phone but I knew better than to keep the lights on when Simba was ready for bed. I learned my lesson on Thursday night!
It’s funny. Simba can sleep all day with the lights on, but when it is time for bed, he barks at you until you turn the lights off. I guess it’s his way of telling me I need to go to sleep too!
This morning, we once again had our usual routine. The weather was nice outside and Simba really enjoyed our walk. He enjoyed it so much, he did not want to come back inside! I had to remind him that unlike his daddy, I have work on Sunday mornings, so we needed to go back inside or I was going to be late.
After work and some errands, I returned to a very excited Simba. I was disappointed to see that the majority of Simba’s breakfast was still in his bowl. The weather was so nice outside and we enjoyed a nice walk. Simba really enjoyed the sunshine!
We came inside and I prepared Simba’s dinner. Simba was not in the mood to eat yet so I did not force him. I prepared my dinner and opened the balcony door so Simba could get some more fresh air. I put on Beauty and the Beast, and to my surprise, Simba loved it! Although, he was not a fan of Gaston. But, can you blame him?

We enjoyed watching the movie together and then I closed the balcony door because I was getting cold. Simba has been slowly eating his dinner and enjoying watching some tv.
Today’s rule is one of the more mild rules.
“Simba MUST bring a toy to bed every night.”
Do I think he needs a toy for bed? Absolutely not. Is it harmful to let him bring a toy? Not at all. Honestly, he took a cheese chew to bed instead of a toy and he was perfectly fine. Last night, Jason asked what toy Simba brought to bed and I told him his duck toy. Jason said he doesn’t usually allow Simba to bring that one to bed because it squeaks and is annoying when you are trying to sleep. I mean come on Jason, you let Simba get away with everything. I am sure if he tried bringing a squeaky toy to bed you would allow it!

Well, I have to go play tug-of-war with Simba now.
Tune in tomorrow for more Simba Sitting Shenanigans and rule number 7!
