Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans! Last night it was so cold! Simba and I took a really fast walk before bed. We were both bundled up in our winter coats but we were still freezing! When we returned from our walk, Simba was so hyper! He was running around in circles and did not want to go to bed.
I was too tired, or should I say, too lazy to raise the heat in the bedroom last night before bed, so when we woke up this morning, Simba and I decided to stay in bed and cuddle for warmth. When I finally decided to brave the cold and get out of bed, Simba was happy to enjoy his breakfast. He must have been very hungry because I blinked and he was finished eating.
We took another freezing cold walk this morning and then I brought Simba back inside so I could go to work. Simba seemed very happy to be back in his nice warm apartment.
After work, I once again got the greeting of a lifetime. I do not think I will ever get tired of Simba’s greetings! We spent some time relaxing with each other and listened to some calming dog music. I took Simba for a walk and it was still really cold outside. Thankfully I had gloves because my hands were way too cold. Simba did not seem to want to walk so far either, he must have also been cold.
I left Simba for a short while to go say hello to Simba’s friend Einstein. I took Einstein for a walk and gave him his dinner. When I returned to Simba a short while later, he greeted me as if I were gone for hours! It was so cute!
I had to run some quick errands but Simba did not want to let me leave the apartment. Eventually, I was able to go out and returned within the hour. Simba’s friend Jake came over tonight and I explained to Jake the difference between when Jason comes home and when I come home. When Jason comes home, Simba jumps all over him. When I come home, Simba runs around until he is calm enough to be pet. He knows he is not allowed to jump on me. I told Jake that Jason and I discussed we have very different parenting styles.
Simba has been eating very slowly lately, so I decided to give him his dinner while mine was cooking. Usually I give him dinner at the same time I eat this way he isn’t begging me for food. Tonight, Simba remembered how much he loves his dinner and ate everything before my dinner was even finished cooking!
After dinner, we watched The Prince of Egypt. Simba seemed to enjoy the movie, however he barked every time he saw an animal or Moses on the screen. I gave Simba a chew toy and that seemed to calm him down for a few minutes. Thankfully, I was still able to enjoy the movie.
Simba is now currently barking at a noise he heard in the hallway.
