Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans! If you are new around here, welcome to my blog. Please feel free to go back and read the past blog posts about our previous adventures. For the next 12 days, you will get to enjoy my adventures in Simba Sitting. Trust me, Simba Sitting Shenanigans is always enjoyable.
Today we are celebrating a first on Simba Sitting Shenanigans. You might want to sit down for this one. Jason is NOT in Disney! I repeat, Jason is not in Disney. I told you that you should have sat down. Don’t worry, although he is spending some time in a new vacation spot, Jason will be going to Disney on Thursday. He couldn’t go away and not go to Disney!
Some things have changed since you have last tuned in. There is a new mysterious dog illness going around which has made Jason very nervous. He tried canceling his vacation, but I assured him I would take great care of Simba and there was no need to worry. Jason printed out daily log sheets for me to fill out so he can make sure Simba is being well cared for and that I wasn’t forgetting anything. I very politely told Jason that I would not be filling out these forms. I told him I always keep him in the loop of how Simba is doing, and this time will not be any different.

Jason left early this morning and when I arrived this evening, Simba was so excited to see me! I really felt loved because he kept coming up to me so I could pet him. It was raining outside so I put on Simba’s raincoat (or hazmat suit) and we went for a short walk. We are being very careful with this illness, so we walked around the back parking lot and right in the front of the building because there was less of a chance of seeing another dog. While we were outside, we saw our friend Akiva. He loved Simba’s raincoat! I have to say, as much as I made fun of Jason for buying it, Simba does look adorable when he is wearing it!

As many of you know, Simba recently celebrated his 2nd birthday. Jason is still accepting late birthday presents for Simba (PLEASE DO NOT BUY HIM TOYS! he has enough!) I bought Simba a really cute slow feeder bowl for his birthday. It was blue (Jason’s favorite color) and had Simba’s name and little bones on it. This was a purely selfish gift because if you remember from Simba Sitting Shenanigans: Take 3, I really did not enjoy stuffing Simba’s food into the little kong toy. Simba absolutely loved his present! He loved it so much that he destroyed it before I was even able to use it.

Jason ordered a different slow feeder bowl which was delivered today. Hopefully this one will last longer than the last one. Thankfully I was able to set it up in time for dinner and did not need to use the Kong. After our walk, I introduced Simba to his new water and food bowl. Simba really enjoyed the water bowl but is still warming up to the new food bowl. Thankfully, he let me eat my dinner without jumping up on the table but Simba needed some encouragement to eat his dinner from his new bowl. Eventually, Simba decided to finish his dinner.
Now Simba and I are enjoying some cuddles on the couch while watching a movie. Simba is being so well behaved and I am so proud of him!
Tune in tomorrow for more Simba Sitting Shenanigans!
