Take 3! Day 6!

Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans! Last night I made the mistake of using a plastic water bottle instead of a cup. I knew better, but for some reason I still took the bottle to the table. Simba LOVES water bottles. I don’t think there is any other toy that Simba prefers to play with. Simba obviously kept barking at me because he really, really, really wanted the water bottle. Eventually, I gave in, poured my water into a cup and gave Simba the bottle.

He had so much fun playing with it. When the bottle was clearly destroyed, I threw it out and Simba decided he wanted my cup. Simba started to rip the cup and I started to get nervous that he would get hurt. I tried to take the cup away, but Simba did not want to let go. I even tried to give Simba a liver treat. Eventually, Simba gave in and took the treat. I quickly grabbed the plastic cup, and threw it away before Simba had a chance to grab it.

Then, we relaxed on the couch and watched an episode of Big Brother. Yes, we are still very behind. We have been busy! When the episode was over, we went for a walk before bed. Simba decided it would be a very short walk. He walked straight to the back of the building and tried going back inside without even using the bathroom. I encouraged him to at least walk to the front of the building and he complied.

We got into bed and Simba instantly fell asleep. He must have been very tired. Simba fell asleep on top of me and I felt bad because I accidentally woke him up a few times. At one point he fell asleep in between my legs and I was stuck because I did not want to wake him up.

This morning was my first day of Hebrew school so we had to be up bright and early. Once again I texted Jason before I got into the shower that Simba was ok, I was going into the shower and he shouldn’t send out a search party if I do not answer the phone 5 seconds after he texted me.

We went for our morning walk and then returned to the apartment. I checked the cameras a few times and Simba was sleeping. He is so cute when he sleeps!

When I returned, I got a royal welcome. Simba always gives the best welcomes.

We relaxed on the couch and watched some tv. A commercial with a dog came on and Simba went CRAZY! He was barking and growling for a good 5 minutes after the commercial ended. He finally calmed down and enjoyed watching the rest of the show.

We went for a walk and Simba enjoyed the fresh air. We saw a neighbor while waiting for the elevator. The little boy was scared of Simba, but I let him pet him and he had a big smile on his face! He thought Simba was so soft. Although he was happy to be petting Simba, he was still a little scared and decided to take the next elevator.

I prepared Simba’s dinner but I really do not like putting the food in the kong toy. I always make such a mess! Thankfully, Simba eats all of the food I accidentally drop on the floor. I didn’t plan the timing of cooking my dinner so well, and Simba finished all of his food before I even sat down to eat. I remembered my mistake from last night and took a cup instead of a bottle. Simba still kept barking at my cup because he wanted to play with it. Now we are relaxing and Simba is enjoying himself.

Play date sometime soon? But not in the baseball field, I think that’s where I got my rash.
