Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans! Happy Heartgard day!
Last night was relaxing. We went for a very short walk on the boardwalk and then watched some tv. Well, I should say we watched the beautiful screensavers because the remote was on the table and I was too lazy to get up. Also, Simba was lying on me and I didn’t want to make him move.
Once again, Simba slept most of the night without a calming chew. He woke up around 1 am but was easily redirected back to bed. This morning, Simba and I relaxed in bed. He really enjoyed me petting him. Then, he was patiently waiting for me to get out of bed. Who can say no to this face?

Simba ate his yummy breakfast while I was in the shower. This time I gave Jason a warning that I was going into the shower and he should not worry if I do not answer my phone. This seemed to put him at ease, unlike yesterday.
I took Simba for a walk before work, but Simba missed his Thursday walk with Alyse because he heard some sirens and ran back into the apartment. Sorry Alyse, we will have to make it up to you! We came back to the apartment and I gave Simba his monthly Heartgard for heart-worm prevention. I knew better than to ask Jason about this one and just checked the care guide myself. Simba also really enjoys this medicine, although his stomach – not so much.
When I came home from work, Simba was so excited to see me. He was so excited that he forgot to take a toy help him calm down. He started nipping a little bit but I reminded him not to bite and he went to grab a toy instead. He quickly calmed down and we relaxed on the couch for a bit.
I asked Simba if he wanted to go for a walk and he jumped at the opportunity! When we went outside, he saw his doggy friend Max. Simba was so excited to see him! Max was busy smelling the grass, but Simba didn’t seem to mind. Then Simba saw his human friend, a toddler named Gavi who lives on Jason’s floor. Both Simba and Gavi were equally happy to see each other. It was adorable! We walked with them for a while, then Simba decided he had enough and wanted to go drink some water.
When we returned to the apartment, I sat down to start writing the blog. Simba kept barking at my feet and I didn’t know why. I was getting slightly annoyed that he was barking for no reason (he does this a lot), but then I looked behind me and saw he knocked over Jason’s Giant Mickey Mouse. I was so proud of Simba for letting me know it needed to be picked up!
I took some time to do some dishes and Simba also took this time to continue making a mess of the apartment by taking all of his toys out of the toy box. I guess I have some more cleaning up to do!
I made the mistake of listening to a voice note on my computer and Simba has been barking ever since! I turned off Big Brother and tried putting on some dog relaxation videos. They did not seem to help that much. After a little while, Simba calmed down and began relaxing again. Now I know for next time, I need to put my AirPods in when listening to voice notes!
I am now going to prepare Simba’s dinner, the same way as last night. Simba pulled out an old trick and dumped it all over the floor. I thought we outgrew that phase but I guess not. Thankfully he cleaned it up from the floor rather quickly.
After dinner, I remembered I forgot to do something at work. We took a quick walk over to DayHab and Simba got to run around while I put away the stuff in the kitchen. At first, Simba was a little confused because all his friends were missing, but soon he took advantage of the quiet and empty space. He had a great time running around in circles!
