Take 4: Day 3!

Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans! Last night Simba and I enjoyed a quiet night in. The night went so quickly and before we knew it, it was time for bed!

We went on our obligatory walk before bed. It was really cold outside so Simba and I decided it was best to just take a brief walk and then come inside to the warm apartment.

Then we got ready for bed. Simba got to the bed first and made it known that he wanted to sleep in my spot! I tried asking him nicely to move over and that did not work. Then I tried picking him up and moving him over but Simba started to growl at me! He was so comfy so I just let him be. Eventually he moved over enough so I could fit comfortably on the bed.

I went to shut the noise machine off and I realized Jason sleeps with not one, but two noise machines! He also has two air purifiers in his room and the heat that also makes noise. Poor Simba, I do not know how he ever gets any sleep with all that noise! Last night, we had a fairly quiet night without the noise machine.

Simba was gracious and let me sleep through the night but in the morning, he made sure to let me know it was time to wake up for work! Simba, however, was a little nicer than my alarm clock. Instead of making a loud startling noise, Simba decided to gently whine as a way of saying “it’s time to wake up and entertain me!”

I convinced Simba to cuddle for a couple of minutes before we had to get up and start our day. Simba, once again, throughly enjoyed his breakfast and was very well behaved while I took my shower. We went for a walk outside but it was cold and windy so we quickly turned around and Simba ran back inside the building.

I said goodbye to Simba and he watched me pack up my lunch and head to work. After work, Simba was once again ecstatic to see me! I prepared Simba’s dinner because Simba was having a special guest come over to give him dinner while I was at choir. Then we went for a quick walk around the building. I made sure to put on Simba’s winter coat because it is freezing outside!

Simba was very excited when Seeyon came over to feed him dinner and take him for a walk! Of course, Simba did not want to eat dinner without first getting in some cuddles and a freezing walk. Simba is still getting used to eating from his new bowl, so he isn’t eating his food right away.

Seeyon made a rookie mistake. He thought that Simba wanted some privacy while he was eating. Seeyon went into the bathroom and waited to see if Simba would start eating. Spoiler alert, Simba did not eat while Seeyon was in the bathroom. Simba never eats alone, you must be in the room watching him or he will not eat his food.

When I returned back after choir, Simba was so happy to see me! Simba knows he isn’t supposed to jump all over me when I come into the apartment. In order to contain his excitement, he grabs the nearest toy and runs around in circles until he calms down. Then he runs up to me, decides he isn’t calm enough and runs around again. He usually goes through 3 or 4 of these cycles. It is absolutely adorable.

Simba heard another dog barking outside and of course he needed to bark back. Thankfully that was short lived and now Simba is back to quietly chewing on his bone and lying on my lap.

Tune in tomorrow for more Simba Sitting Shenanigans!
