Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans! Last night, Simba and I enjoyed some cuddles on the couch while watching tv. Let me tell you, it feels really nice to be loved this much! Simba really likes to cuddle and show his love. He is even remembering not to lick my face!
We went to go for a walk before bed. I put on Simba’s raincoat and we headed outside but when I opened the door it looked like there was a monsoon! The rain was blowing everywhere! Instead of walking around the parking lot, we went back inside and headed towards the front of the building. I took Simba to a spot of grass that was under a balcony and he quickly did his business and ran back inside.
Even though we were only outside for a very short time and Simba had on his rain jacket, we both came back inside soaked! Simba decided this would be a great time to jump onto the bed and get the blanket all wet! Thankfully, he wasn’t extremely wet and the blanket dried before it was time for bed.
Simba was very tired and was eager to go to bed. We were all settled in bed about to fall asleep when my work phone rang and Simba jumped up. Thankfully it was a quick call and Simba went right back to sleep. I, on the other hand, was going deaf from Jason’s noise machine and could not fall asleep!
I accidentally woke up Simba because I got up to make the noise machine lower. Jason, Simba slept totally fine without it. I think you enjoy it more than he does! Tonight, I am going to leave it off and see how things go.
This morning, Simba enjoyed his breakfast while I got ready. He was very well behaved while I took a shower. We went for a walk around the building and then went for a walk on the boardwalk. I followed Jason’s strict instructions to stay in the middle of the boardwalk and limit sniffing. I saw another dog in the distance and decided it was time to go back inside because I did not want to upset Simba when he was not allowed to play.
Simba did, however, get to play with a human pretending to be a dog. There was a man on the boardwalk who started barking and growling at Simba. Don’t worry, it was the friendly and playful growling. Simba had so much fun and the man seemed to also. The man was laughing and Simba’s tail was wagging.
I brought Simba back inside and headed to work. Simba was excited to go back and have his mid-morning nap! Simba had a surprise around lunchtime. Well, my lunch time, Simba doesn’t eat lunch. I forgot to take lunch with me this morning, so I stopped back at the apartment to grab my food. That’s one perk of working right next to where you are staying. Of course, I had to play with Simba for a couple of minutes because it would be rude to come back here and not play with him!
Unfortunately, I had to go back to work and Simba had to go back to his very important day of napping. After work, Simba had another surprise! Seeyon came back from his vacation and came to say hello to Simba! Simba could hardly contain his excitement! Seeyon and I were at the table talking and Simba jumped up on my lap because he wanted some cuddles. I told Simba we do not jump up on people’s laps. Hopefully he will remember this for next time. I doubt he will.
Seeyon and I took Simba on a walk and boy was it hard to get Simba to not sniff every second! Jason don’t worry, we worked really hard to get him to walk and not sniff!
Then we came back to the apartment and I had to run some errands. When I returned, I gave Simba his dinner which he is very slowly eating. He is still getting used to his new bowl but I think he is enjoying it! Hopefully with a little more encouragement, he will start to eat faster.
Now Simba and I are relaxing and enjoying our night together.
