Take 3! Day 7!

Welcome back to Simba Sitting Shenanigans! Last night Simba and I relaxed and almost finished catching up on Big Brother. Simba seemed to enjoy the show, however, he kept barking at the commercials. Simba, I understand you don’t like commercials, most people do not like them. (Well, Jason likes commercials, but he isn’t like most people.) But just because you do not like something, does not mean you can act out like that.

I did some laundry but knew better than to fold it in front of Simba. He thinks everything is a toy and there would be no clothes left. I put on some dog relaxation tv, and pretended to go into the bathroom. I then proceeded to go into the bedroom and managed to fold the laundry without Simba finding me. He was very well behaved and I was super proud.

We went for our walk before bed but it was very quick since it was raining outside. We got ready for bed but I forgot Simba’s Simba plush toy that he sleeps with. (Yes, Simba sleeps with a Simba plush every night. It’s adorable.) Simba made sure to let me know his toy was missing by digging on the bed. When I brought him his toy, he instantly relaxed.

Simba slept the whole night and I was very grateful. In the morning, he gave me some nice cuddles, and then eventually, we had to actually get out of bed and start our day. I had a busy day ahead at work, and Simba had a busy day of sleeping to look forward to. Once again, Simba ate his breakfast while I showered. Then, we went for our morning walk.

Simba got a special surprise in the middle of the day because I forgot my lunch in the fridge. Yes, I actually have been making lunch every day instead of ordering from Uber eats. I am on a very impressive 5-day streak of not ordering. Simba was so surprised and was very happy to see me in the middle of the day!

After work, I took Simba for a walk. There was a big dog on the boardwalk and Simba wanted to show off how tough he was! Simba was barking his mean dog bark and the other dog just stood there watching. I think the other dog could see through the facade. Simba is really not as tough as he thinks he is. Simba thinks that he is just as big and as tough as those big dogs, but in reality, Simba is just an adorable little dog who would never actually hurt a fly.

I left Simba to run some errands and when I returned I started to prepare dinner. I was very hungry so I had a banana while dinner was cooking. Simba came over to see what I was eating and I gave him a piece of banana. Simba really seemed to enjoy it! Then I finished drinking my water bottle and gave it to Simba to play with since he was so well behaved and didn’t bark at it!

Simba and I both enjoyed our dinners and are finally all caught up on Big Brother. Jason, please make sure to keep up with it so Simba can finish watching the season.

There was a very bad thunder storm outside, but thanks to my SCIP training at work, I learned to be very proactive. I know Simba gets scared of thunder and fireworks, so I turned on all the noise machines in the living room, as well as turned up the volume on the tv. Simba did not even seem to notice the storm outside!

Simba and I are now enjoying our last night together as Jason returns home tomorrow.
